im too tired to write a proper entry so i will just put point form for wad i wan to say.

1) im addicted to baroque music

2) im stressed

3) last sem i only had to study for 1 sub, which is psy. Now im struggling with econs and accounting. not to mention i am lagging behind in doing my research paper, econs project and music journals

4) i dun feel like going to zx bday party on sunday.

5) logically i shld not go but i already told him i am coming. and unlike some *in fact many* ppl i dun like to break promises.

6) what's more my group organise a meeting on sunday noon at plaza sing, and the party starts at 5 at loyan *groans*

7) i dun feel that im coping well this sem. time is clearly not on my side. i need more time to clear my liabilities.

8) only things that is keeping me going are Bach's preludes and Mozart's symphonies

9) i wonder how some people are coping so well. Coping well as in able to finish all the assignments and stuff while still working, not not bothering at all.

10) baroque music really helps calm u down

11) calming down is one thing. wad i need is more time and energy.

so how was your week?

ok lets see what has happened so far last week.

monday: bought guitar

tuesday: Played the guitar and found buzzing sounds and that some notes go off key when i pluck . so i asked ryan * who is from ub, same batch and stays at the same condo as me* to have a go at my guitar to check if there was really a problem with it. you see, my previous guitar was a classical 1 and does not have those problems, maybe these sounds are normal for an acoustic guitar? ryan played it a while and said that i was not imagining things; there is really a prob with the setup. sigh.

wednesday: ESL mid term. It was raining so heavily that the giant canal near my house almost flooded over. the bus came very late. i waited for like 25 mins for my bus to come. after boarding the bus still got jam -.- as a result king, ryan and me were about 30 mins late for the midterm. luckily our teacher is dam slack 1; she dun have any time limit for the paper. just hand it up when done. Ryan was not so lucky though, he went to class with only 1 hour to finish his 1000 word essay =/

thursday: Ben drove me to the guitar shop after the music class. i told the person about the problems with the guitar. then he played the guitar and said "it sounds fine to me".

So i took the guitar and SHOWED him the problem.

then he said " that is because u pluck too hard, if i use a $2000 guitar it will have the same problem. OUR guitars are setup to have maximum playability as our strings are positioned very carefully to be of a certain distance from the fret board"

so i told him that of cos he can play the guitar so softly here because its a small enclosed place so he dun have to play it so loud. i also told him how my friend *ryan* who has been playing the guitar for 6 over years tell me that its not normal.

He then said " well, then there must be a problem with how u and ur fren play the guitar"

i was like wtf?? i dunno wad to say liao. so i just said " well can u just do something about it? cos it is really bothering me"

then the guy said " alright if u really want to sacrifice the playability of the guitar to remove the buzzing then its ur call.."

wah. talk about poor customer service... now i understand wad ryan was saying when he told me he lost all confidence in Singapore's music shops..

Anyway, i went to watch toy story 3: 3D preview in the evening. im lazy to summarize it (did that in esl class yesterday zzz) so i will just rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars. which means watch it if u have the time. if not.... DOWNLOAD IT. lol. but there was 1 part which appealed to me.... hint UFO machine hehehe

oh and the guitar shop smsed me that my guitar has been fixed and is ready for collection.

Friday: Ok end of the week!! i was a bit irritated on friday because of the sudden changes in plans. You see, me, ws and gang had already planned to eat suki ya's buffet at marina square. so i told my other friends that im not free on friday night and told my parents not to prepare dinner for me. And then all of a sudden they decide not to go out for dinner. I dunno about u guys but its very annoying when this kind of things happen.

anyway i needed to travel to citihall anyway to collect my guitar. So ben said he could drop me off at newton mrt. on the way there, ws called and ask if i wanted to eat dinner. so after a few calls and all we ended up in marina square eating JUST ASIA. The food portion there is quite big, and there is still free flow ice cream and drinks!

Oh anyway, when i went to collect my guitar, the big boss was there. he told me that the neck was pulled too far back for some reason and that is why there the the problem with the sound. He agreed with me that the buzzing was really bad when i sent it in. i feel like KICKING THE ASS of the guy who told me the problem lies with my playing style -.-

Saturday and Sunday: Nothing interesting. My whole Saturday was spent studying accounting with boon *thanks for teaching me!* the the whole Sunday was spent working on my econs project and doing my music journals. quite proud of myself for doing so much actually =)

Monday: nothing much. oh econs class let us off early today =) but then i had to rush home to chiong my essay for my music mid terms. did all the way till 12 30 am zzzz

Today: No school yay!!!! and i finally have time to blog =) still got alot of stuff to do though. english summary, accounting homework, econs project, econs mid terms...zzzzzzzz

NEW GUITAR!!!

yay im so happy! got my new guitar today!! its a 310 dollars *after discount* Yamaha solid top acoustic guitar =) im so happy that i decided to pay 12 dollars for a screen protector for my phone although it should only cost about 5 dollars.

the new guitar takes some time getting used to though. the neck is so much smaller then y classical guitar and the strings are harder too. recorded 2 songs which u can check out belowww. oh first time i use pick for the guitar btw so i dunno if im strumming it right =)

after getting the guitar i went to eat dinner with king at Sushi Don at Funan. the sashimi there is VERY fresh. seriously even a food noob like me can tell that its fresh. it is also not very crowded, which is something i appreciate alot. pricing wise i will say its abit steep but then again its IS a japanese resturant so i guess the price is quite reasonable. *unless u are toking about sakae sushi, which is not that value for money either considering the trash they serve*







spend 24 dollars there. *the pain!! the pain!!!* all thanks to king and his peer pressure la. first he make me eat with him, then after eating the stuff above he went to take more sashimi, which tempted me to take more also lol. really spend alot today. but its worth it because i have my new guitar!! =)))) *hugs*

i dun wan to fall sick

whooo two post in 1 day!!!

This weekend is my second brother's bday.... and i totally forgot about it. but then its not like i would get anything for him even if i knew. yea yea wad kind of brother am i. then today we celebrated father's day, or my brother's birthday, i dun really know. all i know is that we went out to long beach restaurant at kallang to eat!!! =) *i hope my dad dosen just deduct the cost from my pocket money -.-*

now this is wad u call a bamboo clam. dam big. dam pricey too. 1 of these can cost like 30 dollars according to my dad *but then after the fire incident i am having some difficulty believing him*
butter prawns. i had to peel off the shells because it was too thick to be eaten.
How can u go to a seafood restaurant and not order crab? behold the super hard shell black pepper crab! its shell was so hard it felt like a gym workout when i tried to break the shell using the metal pincers provided.

vanilla ice cream with some rice thingy? whats more interesting is the bowl beneath the ice cream.loook!!! theres smoke inside!!! its actually dry ice in water. dam cool. reminds me of the time i played with dry ice and almost lost my hand haha


anyway ive been feeling very tired recently. i just have to close my eyes and i can just fall sleep. i hope its not a sign that im falling sick =/

privacy, fries and money

incredible. i took a nap in my living room and woke up to a scene of a nightmare. i saw my mother looking tru my second brother's facebook wall as well as a blog that looked liked mine. but after thinking it tru i did not have pics like that on my blog. i immediately went to my room to check the privacy settings of my profile.

website: can only be seen by friends. whew relief as i did not add my mother as a fren despite her "surprise" message and threatening to deduct my pocket money.

anyways, with a sigh of relief i tot all was well. until i realized that my youngest brother was online in fb.

and he is asleep in his room.

alarms started ringing in my head and i immediately removed him from friends. then i tot to myself, what if my mother, or mparents for that matter were able to access my second brother's acc also? remove.

sorry guys. I have a policy not to add any superiors, teachers or parents on my social networking sites. it was funny at first when i saw my dad browsing tru my youngest brother's fb acc. its not so funny when my mum does it cos.... well.... lets just say she is a very scary person...

anyway i went everything with fries yest with boon, wl, kx and yh. its located somewher in holland v. the food there is quite decent la. i think they give too much fries and for my case, too little of the main dish but then, wad else do u expect from a shop named Everything with fries right? lol

this is the one egg soup. that is the real name! lol. i dunno wad the soup is made of but that brown thingy is egg white. fried i think.

now this is mine, its called salmon in a cup. kx told me i always order the dish with the funniest names. NOT TRUE!!! i just like salmon =)) anyway as u can see the cup is rather small, the same size as a normal tea cup, but the fries are really excessive.

after that we went marina square to watch nightmare at elm's street. its some remake of an old popular horror film. u know freddy the ripper? maybe it was scary in the past but there are alot of better horror shows now. so in short, dun waste ur money.

also went to prize station and spend money like nobodies business and never win anything. dam sad. i think i am at the end of my winning streak liao, better know when to stop....

my condo on fire

yest when i was having dinner at tcc, my dad called me and said that our house caught fire and that my second brother was hit by an explosion when he went to check it out. he said that he is now in the hospital under observation and half his hair was burnt off.

my brother was a selfless man of great courage. after hearing the initial explosions and seeing the fire leap out, his first instinct was to whip out his camera phone to take pics. after all, its not everyday ur house catches fire and u have a media recording device at your side. it was an experience he had to share with the world. however, as it was, fate was cruel and denied him the chance to upload the photos on the internet; he was hit by an explosion shortly after taking the last photo. just how is this funny, ironic and sad at the same time? i wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

there are 2 fears that i will never get rid of, no matter how many times i confront it.

i stayed up the whole night to do my presentation on music, only to fck it up when doing the presentation itself. so many things i shld have said but i didnt, making my presentation seem like som half assed work. i am so ashamed of myself. it was really bad. sigh.

actually i played 2 more songs, all time camp favorite "Zombie" by cranberries and improved my "soul sister" by train. But blogger uploads video very slowly so i will upload the other 2 another time. felt abit better after that.

anyway i think it because of the lack of sleep and my "power nap" of around 15 min that i had a terrible migraine just now. i placed my hand on my head and could feel my heart beat. its so pain sometimes i need to stop moving and wait for the pain to pass. then my damned house dun even have panadol so i went down to 7 eleven to buy panadol. talk about agony. then at 7 eleven i had to Pratically empty my whole wallet; i had only JUST enough to pay for the panadol fast which cost around 8 dollars.

Now im feeling dam lousy as i try to stop myself from recalling the presentation. when i think of it my body gets hot all over for some reason.

jeez what a day. haizz..

btw thanks wei han for staying up with me and encouraging me from 12 to 3 am, really appreciated it =)
