My CNY break

ok so everyone at UB had a one week break because of CNY... but it wasnt anything much really. I dun have relatives in sg so no visiting or preparation needed. of cos some ppl may prolly be like "omg soo good! u have no idea how sian it is to be visiting or have everyone crowding in ur house etc etc" they are right u know. I dun really get all the hype and fuss about cny traditions like the cleaning and relative visiting and all. but yea i dun really get any ang baos on CNY so i guess that pretty much balances it out =(

Nth much really happened during the cny break, other than monday, when i went for steamboat with king, ws and ben. eat halfway than rain! well done. And i didnt get to eat any of my fave beef stuff cos ben cannot eat beef! =/ Other than that, my family and i spend a night at some god forsaken place at sentosa. the next day, we went to universal studios. i was mostly bored the whole time there; i was on ebuddy chatting with whoever i could chat with online. I dun mean to be a spoilsport but i just feel so constricted when i am with my parents you know? but i supp that's another story.

The name of the resort, its supposedly some eco hotel. in other words, budget hotel

look at the steps. actually, it doesen tell much. but if i told u i took this in malaysia, u would probably believe me

well, at least it has a decent swimming pool right? guess so. until we discovered that our toilet bowl was broken. wtf

So after that we decided to take a look arnd sentosa. it was CROWDED. with indians. I am not being racists! just look at the pic of one of the beach sheds! the whole beach and walkways were filled with them. alright no racist remarks pls.

Apparently there was some flower festival thingy in Sentosa. well, i guess some vegetables are considered flowers

after jostling with the crowd for2 hours or so, we took the board walk to vivo city. its actually pretty nice, kinda like the helix bridge. And for lazy bums, there is a travelator there as well lol

If u visited vivocity before you will surely know this shop. its some yogurt ice cream place called Yigloo that serves pretty good ice cream/yogurt. But as you can see, its closed for the new year. But as you can see, ppl dun give a shyt.

Oh the humanity! I can imagine the look on the shop owners faces when they come back. *evil grin*

oh look who visited us at our hotel room. i was NOT kidding when i said i was returning to my basha.

after returning to the hotel room for a shot while, we were off again to see some "robot crane dance" dun ask

its night time and is still packed like @#$%

but the lights are nice though

And so we reached the "robot crane show" place. as expected it was fcking crowded. tired from all the walking, i sat down on the floor like some homeless delinquent and my brothers joined me. Soon enough we were surrounded.

about the show. yea it was KINDA nice. you know, in the same way u look at some abstract art piece and then go "hmmmm err the color's KINDA nice". Anyhow, the show stopped halfway due to technical difficulties. i lost count of the number of times i said suck thumb to my brother.

Next day we visited universal studios. Actually its REALLY small. i walked through everyting in 2 hrs. but the wait for the rides are CRAZY long. at 12pm onwards, all rides had a waiting time of at least 1 hour.

oyea forgot to talk about the photo. Shrek's house. i was kinda pissed at this point because nobody wanted to take a photo of me. as in, with shrek's house.

oh this ride is so awesome, i took it 2 times. if u plan to come USS next time, come early in the morning, that way the waiting time is only about 10 mins. =)

looks fierce? well he is definitely not acting. i and my brothers witnessed him scolding a grandpa because he accidentally touched him *potentially knocking him off balance from his stilts i suppose* still, that's no way to treat an innocent balding uncle who is just trying to get ur attention to take photo with his grand children. Seriously.

another weird being in the sci fi area of USS. u a alien?

The famous Battlestar galactica roller coaster that is sceduled to open  on 21 feb. when we were there, they were having trial runs and allowed only certain number of ppl at irregular timings to try it. it looks very violent though. my brother claim he saw something drop out of the roller coaster while it was spinning. Final destination anyone?
