thank god


finally hell week is over. oh wad is hell week u ask? oh yea... i haven mention it nor touched this blog for 2 weeks cos THERE IS NO FRIGGIN INTERNET IN HELL.

so anyway, wad is hell week? well, it is wad me and my group mates have called the week that we were all damned to heck with 3 projects and 1 test. And yea, we only had about 1 week to to complete everything not because we did not plan our time well, but because we were already juggling projects and test before this *see previous post* and 2 of the projects was only given 1 week before the due date. I and my group mates been burning midnight oil till 3am regularlythe fast few weeks and i cant tell u how great it was to have finally complete the presentations.

I mean, it almost made me believe in him for a second

SO aside from the boring shyt school assignment, there are a couple of interesting things that happened since my last post. let me look at my calender for cued recall...

oh right. so the sat after wenhui's bday party was anna's birthday. sooo since i was already practicing my guitar for wen hui's birthday, i tot, why not do one for anna too? and so i sought yun ting out to do a short cover of 2 songs for anna's birthday: The only exception by Paramore and It's all about you by Mcfly.

so wad happened was that it was supposed to be that, i will play the guitar and backup vocals while yun ting will sing and damn, does yun ting sing like an angel. so we were really very busy and could only afford to practice one of the days after school. so i showed yun ting my method of playing the guitar AND tambourine *with my foot* and she liked it so we Incorporated it in. Thing is, it is really hard to coordinate 2 different rhythms together *my guitar follows one rhythm and the tambourine has to be another to sound good* so we stayed back quite a while to get it right. yun ting volunteered to do the tambourine instead but i decided not to let her as i wanted her to focus on here beautiful singing. oh and while we were practicing, some guy from the SIM student life department came up to compliment us on our playing hahaha

alright so on the day itself we went to some buffet at  Carousel at Orchard there before heading over to Swiss hotel where anna had booked a room to celebrate =) here are some pics of the buffet, im lazy to transf other pics from facebook over haha

ok so anyway the saturday following anna's birthday was father's day, so we went out for dinner. but before that my dad had to pick my second brother up from his date with his GF, so we went to Central @ clarke quay. so while we were there around central, my Youngest bro went out to look for my second bro. As they were returning, my youngest bro wrench open the car door so hard it hit the car beside it, leaving a small scratch/dent. The owner of the car, who was inside the car at the time came out and started knocking and shouting on our car and demanded that we pay $200 to respray the car. So my parents parked the car nearby and went to survey the damage, asking me and my brothers to take care of the car. here are some pics of the damage

I don't know whether the repairs were worth 200 dollars or not la, but sensing an opportunity to witness my mother's shrewd negotiating skills in action, i jumped out of the car and watched the show. it was quite funny actually. cos the man was like shouting here and there but my mother just stood there and told him off for demanding so much money and shouting too much. then the man say if u guys dowan to pay then we settle by insurance. then the man want us to write a written statement to admit that we actually scratched the car. To which my mum said NO and this drove the man further up the wall lol. Then after he kept scolding us for a while he said that since no one wants to settle this we shall call the police and get them to settle. SO we waited there for like 5 mins, and then my mum asked him: "so u call police already or not?"

The man then say u REALLY wan me call police ar??

to which my mum said :"ya, since you are unwilling to compromise then we are stuck here right?"

then my mum said:" why not we compromise at $100, cos waiting here isnt going to solve anything."

to which the guy replied:" ok la ok la, take it that i dam suay la"

hahaha although sometime i dun agree with my mum's way of doing things, i have to admit he negotiating skills are top notch lol. Even the Ministry of Manpower cannot outnegotiate her lol, but thats another story =)

PS i just realise that its difficult to see the dent, but well, u get the idea of the extend of the damage lol
