After 11 days in europe, the feeling that hits me as i entered my room is full of nostalgia. You can have as much fun and joy outside but nothing beats the feeling of returning home after being away for so long =)

Things i had missed *not in order of imporatance!*:

- my computor

- my keyboard

- my guitar *hugs*

- my friends

- my singlets *wears*

- my 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

- MY GYM!!

Anyway a happy new year to everyone out there! i am feeling like shyt now cos of my flu/cold/sore throat, not to mention a hangover from some godly medicine i took last night. Thus i wun be writing as much as i had planned to do. Btw i have 2000+ pictures of scenery and stuff so i wun be putting all of them here in this blog *obviously*. What i will be putting here will mostly be pictures of scrump *yep kept to my promise!* as well as some of those that i personally like.

alright lets cut to the chase.

Our first destination was Rome, however we had to make a stop at Istanbul first to transfer plane. Took Turkish airlines and i can seriously tell u that the plane to Istanbul and well, basically the airline is FUBR. It was an around 10 hr flight, and i swear the seating space was so cramped it very nearly made me claustrophobic. That and the unbearable heat. i do not know y they had to turn the thermostat up so high. do Turkish ppl enjoy warm and stifling air? That was probably the worst flying experience i ever had in my life. I was awake for the whole flight because of the unbearable conditions. The plane back was better, but it seemed that alot of the ppl in my tour group, me included, had their luggage damaged.

ok so after traveling for about 15 hrs i think *inclusive of the transfer and flight from Istanbul , we were at Rome and our tour commenced. Too much details to put down, but basically the first part of the tour was of italy. We visited Rome, Vatican city, Siena, Pissa, Venice, Milan, as well as some other places that i am too lazy to try and recall. *i am saving memory space for the second history course next sem zzz* The Vatican cathedral was really ldegendary, as in godlike legendary! it was all holy and sacred and epic.  There was even a live choir singing hymns! words and pictures dun do credit to it so i wun even try.  nth much to say about the rest of Italy though other than the scenery and that it kept drizzling. Venice was also partially flooded because of the rain. didnt do much in Milan because it was Christmas day, thus all shops were closed =(

pic of goh chok tong in one of the chi restaurants i went to.

i think this is part of the Vatican city?

After that we went to Switzerland, where we finally saw snow! We went up 2 mountains in the alps on 2 separate days using cable car and train respectively. For the first mountain called mount Titlis, we went all the way to the top where the air was so thin that i felt a little lightheaded there. The temperature was below -20 degrees and the wind was so strong that it when it blew against ur face, it felt like it was slapping u. When i first stepped out of the building into the open, i had could not bring myself to breathe because the combination of wind and cold felt like someone dunking ur head in ice cold water. it was THAT cold. The second mountain called Jungfrau was less cold, but then we did not go all the way to the top. it was also where i and my new found friends went sledding. We also visited the city of Geneva, where the headquarters of the UN and the Red Cross is located.

After that it was off to Paris in France! Pretty pretty place, but VERY crowded. for all major brand shops like LV, prada, etc, there was always a que to get in. So sorry i could not get wen hui's bag =( i swore i searched from Switzerland to Paris but all did not have the size or color =/

Anyway, as with all my tour trips overseas, i attempted to bring all the ppl who were around the same age as me together with cards *thanks liz!*. Problem though, i forgot to bring my poker cards. luckily though, there was someone who had a deck. The situation in this tour group was also a bit different. There were ALOT of Youngsters in these group. youngsters as in in the age range of those still in sec sch to uni level, but mostly within the younger range. I observed a pretty curious phenomenon but maybe i will tok about it later. Either way, i made some pretty fun friends and without them, the euro trip would definitely have been much less enjoyable =)

Best regards to Clive, Clement, Liz, Jeremy. Jason, Blossom and Bryant!!!
