Time is running out

I'm so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so tired so

Fcked up semester.

Really. i shldnt waste too much time trying to get good grades. After all, a SIM degree IS a SIM degree. they are all the same. UB? wad UB? wads the diff? u study in SIM right? yep. Only ppl who are in SIM truly know the diff between the schools. But that's the minority. everyone else outsides just sees SIM. And if that is wad THEY think, then clearly it must be the truth. its the fundamental law of marketing. it is about wad the market perceives, not us. So there is no point deceiving ourselves that if we study harder we will be better able to get a job.

Seriously, i shld be spending my time doing other more useful things. The opportunity cost of solely getting a good grades is too great. in less than 2 years i am going to graduate. I will have nothing to my name except a piece of paper. It scares me. And there is nothing great about graduating with a SIM degree. I need to be able to achieve smt more than that. And i am fcking wasting my life trying to keep up with everything. I need TIME to work on it. And i cant do that if I am too busy with school work.

Something has got to give. Scarcity of time glares at me in the face.

Time is running out.

It truly is.

  1. it's true that SIM certs lose out to local U's. that is why u must get good grades. get a title, like first class honours or something. damn hard. but if u can get it, people will look at u differently. it will no longer be about SIM anymore. it'll be about capability.

at least this is what i'm aiming for. and i'm saying it even before knowing if they've accepted me LOL.

it's good to focus on your school work. you can show that you're an all-rounder by.. being more active in your CCA? and working part-time during your holidays? being stressed is good but don't go over & worry too much.

and i see you added the rss. cool =)

  2. haha it is difficult to do that in UB,

firstly, there is no direct honours program. which means we will just get a basic degree after graduating, no matter how well we do.

secondly, we have sch every weekday, coupled with homework, exams and projects, so its really about finding a balance if we wan to do smt else.

thirdly, our holidays between semesters are only like 2 weeks on average?

So then it all boils down to proper time management throughout the whole year. and my current sem is super screwed up because i underestimated the burden of taking an additional subject. so currently most of my miserable life is basically dedicated to doing sch work =(

  3. i'm sure it means something when you do well in something. and UB has a better reputation (socially) than SIM like UOL or RMIT or such (no offence).
anyway, UB seems like a really fun school..

sounds bad, like a serious full time schooling. ain't easy to get a job or attachment or commitment. what bout your other school mates? u think they can cope, or is it like just a school phenomenon?

  4. so far is can cope and still do well( As and Bs). But i wan to do smt else before graduating. but to do that would prob mean sacrificing my grades =/
