i think i am pushing myself too hard. just yesterday, i fell asleep on the bus, at 11 30am. This is really weird (for me) because i have been making sure that i get my 8+ hours of sleep (usually starting form 1 am + + though). ive also been feeling more exhausted lately, and i always feel like im about to forget to breathe or smt. I suppose this is attributed to my (almost) daily running routine. For the past 2 or 3 weeks i have been running for about 5 to 6 days a week, to train for my 2.4; ive been trying to reach 10 mins
Actually, running everyday is nth new, i did that last year before but back then it was more of a leisure run each time. This time round, i have been pushing myself to max or near max for every run, such that after each run i feel like im about to get a heart attack and die.
i think, that this constant pushing of my physical limits has sort of affected my sleeping cycle in a way that im am unable to get quality sleep. something about not being able to fall into the deep REM sleep or some shyt like that. read it somewhere before that intense exercise can cause isonmia lol. but joy thinks its nonsense, she say i am always tired lol. But i do have reason to believe this leh. Although i do not having trouble dozing off at night, i find myself constantly waking up in the middle of the night, and i dun feel like peeing (cos usually if i wake up in the middle of the night it is to pee). this also means that i do not have my 8 hours of continuous sleep! which is smt SAF likes to say but not adhere to.
Or maybe its because im sleeping too late.
Yea thats probably it. im gonna try sleeping earlier first. then monitor how my body is reacting and then decide whether or not to reduce frequency of training. Cos the last time i reduce the frequency of my running, i became too lazy to run. sooo wish me luck! and hope i can attempt a gold award this year!
