prawn prawn prawn

Bleddy SAF make me go back camp for like half day just for some stupid power point that was already covered in our ORD quiz. the guy said they will pay us for the half day. well... THEY HAD BETTER.. to cover the cost of my taxi fare -.-"

went prawning with king, wen hui, benjamin *dad*, wei sian *mum* and yun ting at the bishan prawning placee. kai ting, qm and cj was also supp to come but backed out on the day itself due to unforeseen circumstances.

catch rate was kinda slow and i felt the staff were kinda unfrendly, maybe cos i cannot speak chinese then they attitude me or maybe cause king exceeded the time by 30 mins =)) other than that, i enjoyed myself thoroughly. It helped that the first prawn was caught by me! *first blood! high five!!!* and that a frendly uncle *thanks to wen hui* gave us his catch of i think 15 prawns? I only know we had 30 prawns in the end.

as they say, pictures speak louder than words, and i like to add in my 2 cents worth to create a racket =)))

The prawn pond. there are many ponds like this but this one is ours =) BTW u see the red shirt guy over there? he see wei sian the xiao mei mei like cannot catch anything so he came to donate his "premium" bait to us, which is LIVE baby catfish the size of tadpoles =)

The bait they provided us with. its chicken heart i belieave. sadly i dun have any pic of the live bait =(

oooo this is the baby catfish that had half its head bitten off by a prawn. those.... Monsters grrr..

hahaha this is benjamin btw! wei ling meet ur old fren! =)) i like the smirk he has on his face right now. its almost as if he believed it when i said "wow ben u just discovered fire!!" *i did not actually say it lol*

the biggest catch of the day is by wen hui *points to uncle* hahaha! the one on the most right is yun ting btw, YJ Unite!!!

This uncle ar... not only teach us how to prawn, he even gave us...errr.. wen hui his own basket of caught prawns, teach us how to make the fire properly, wash, skewer, salt and bbq the prawns! oh and did i mentioned he bought a plate of small crispy fried prawns for wen hui in which we all shared?

yes. we pull off thier arms and skewer the prawns while its still wiggling in our hands. and then we put salt on their wounds. after that we place thier still kicking bodies on the grill to cook them alive. what? an idea for the next Saw sequel? u sick bastar

after spending a moment admiring my handsome face....done?...k take a look at the long claws of the prawn! holy cow! wad manner of beast is this?!? its sharp enough to slice tru ur skin. dun worry though, it will take more than a bunch of deformed godzilla prawns with mutated scythes to bring me down =) now u see y i said the mission was to destroy each and everyone of these.... spawn of... satan??

forgot wad i wanted to say for this pic liao -.-

welcome to K and K's *khiew and king* grilled prawn place!!!

yun ting and wen hui are the channel 8 ming xing who come visit our shop =))

salted to perfection!!! would u like yours well done, medium, rare or alive and biting sir?

After dropping the girls at bugis area, ben drove us to geylang for soya bean, dim sum and oyster mee sua!! =P The mee sua is much better then the lousy taiwan street snacks place whatever its called, and the xiao long bau just taste like xiao long bau. sry not a big fan of dim sum ><

anyway after that ben dropped me off at my house at about 10 plus pm but i left my phone and ez link card in his car!! he then drove all the way back from his home to my place to pass it to me. lol thanks dude i owe u a meal =)) anyway the secret to bbqing fresh and tasty prawns are in the short video BELOW.

WARNING!!!! NOT FOR PREGNANT LADIES OR THE FAINT OF HEART!!!
